Meet Lakeport Music's amazing teachers. Each teacher has their own area of expertise and their own philosophy of teaching. Our teachers have years of experience both in playing and in education. Currently, our teachers all have their own individual pricing.

Guitar
Jarrod Taylor
Jarrod Taylor is highly regarded throughout New England as an accomplished guitarist and dedicated instructor with over 20 years teaching experience. He’s an active performer in a wide variety of ensembles ranging from blues/rock to country, jazz and funk.
A Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Jarrod’s musical background stems from broad musical traditions of jazz and classical guitar.
In addition to teaching at Lakeport Music Co-op, Jarrod teaches Guitar performance studies at Plymouth State University, and has performed and recorded with Bruce Marshall, Ryan Ordway, Audrey Drake, Alex Preston, Fonda Feingold, Kemp Harris and Al Hospers among many others.
Piano, Voice
Christine Chiasson
Christine has been teaching voice and piano lessons as well as workshops, conferences, master classes and music directing for almost 30 years. She has been certified in many vocal methods, the most recent being Neuro Vocal Method, (how to sing, high healthy and loud), a method based on brain science specifically geared towards those who want to sing pop, rock or theatre. She is also versed in Bel Canto, The Swedish/Italian School of Singing, The Science of Singing, the Zen of Screaming and more. Her goal is to tailor your lesson to your learning personality so that you leave feeling excited, confident and inspired to move forward! Bring any genre of music, it’s important that you love what you sing! Christine has also done extensive work in churches singing, playing and directing choirs. She regularly trains singers to take on singing positions in church work as well as other singing jobs.

Flute, Violin, Ukulele, Beginner Piano
Hannah O'Brien
Hannah is a multi-instrumentalist who specializes in flute. With 14 years of experience and a Bachelor's of Music Education where she specialized in flute, Hannah has been able to teach privately and play in professional groups around the state. Hannah offers flute lessons to all levels and has helped her flute students with performances, college auditions, and has gotten her students into NH's All-State band.

Hannah also grew up playing the violin and has 10+ years of classical lessons and performing Irish music. Currently, she offers violin to beginning and intermediate students.
Hannah has played the ukulele for many years, especially within her elementary music classroom. Currently, she offers beginning ukulele lessons and specializes in younger students.

Hannah currently plays with the Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra, Manchester Community Music School Flute Choir, Gilford Community Band, the O'Brien Clan Band, and pit bands for musicals around the state.
Guitar, Mandolin, Tuba, Trombone, Brass,
Marc DiDonato
A native of Rhode Island, Marc DiDonato graduated from Plymouth State in 2020 with a B.S. in Music Education and with tuba as his primary instrument. He currently teaches brass and guitar lessons here at the Co-Op, as well as teaching music and chorus at Laconia Middle School.
As a brass player, he has a broad range of performing experience across the entire brass family and in a variety of genres, though he specializes in low brass. Currently, he plays tuba with the Gilford Community Band.
As a guitarist, he has a strong background in blues and jazz but specializes in folk, bluegrass, and finger-style acoustic guitar, as well as having mandolin experience. He has taught private guitar for 3 years and is currently teaching himself to play the organ.

Bryan House
Bryan House is an accomplished performer, educator, recording artist, and consultant. He toured nationally with Spiritual Rez and Badfish for 5 years, regularly performing sold out shows in America’s finest venues. He has opened for Snoop Dogg, 311, Parliament, Steel Pulse, Trombone Shorty, Wu Tang Clan, Alan Jackson, Toots and the Maytals, the Wailers, and many more. His students have been accepted to New England Conservatory, Boston Conservatory, Oberlin, Mannes (New School NYC), Rutgers, Indiana University (Jacob’s School of Music) and University of Michigan; many with partial and full scholarships.
As a performer he is currently works with Badfish (backup trombone/keyboard/perc.), Joe Samba (trombone), the Bulkheads (trombone, trumpet, perc.), SupRfan (trombone, trumpet, perc, keys), Lakes Region Symphony (bass trombone, tuba), Gilford Community Band (trumpet), Center Harbor band (tuba), and Carter Mountain Brass (trombone, cornet,trumpet).
He is currently the owner of Gemini Music Studios in Gilford, focusing on artistic development, songwriting, bandleading, and rocking out.

Violin, Viola, Cello
Kim Strand
Kim Strand graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Music from University of Wyoming. She’s performed in several Symphonies and Chamber Groups in 11 states. Kim has also had the privilege of playing with some well known artists, including Ray Price, Dionne Warwick, Willy Nelson and Mannheim Steamroller. She is thrilled to be playing with The Deep Blue C Studio Orchestra in her new home in New England, as well as with The Lakes Region Symphony .
Kim is happy to join the Lakeport Music Co-op to round out the team with strings education. Her teaching style is personalized around the needs of her students. Music should always be enjoyed!
